Actually I'm enjoy to be a volunteer as a drawing teacher there and I only concern on class 3rd ward (lowest grade for poor families). But starting this week I only go there about 2-4 days to keep my job doesn't messy.
Anyway, Just for a glimpse, Since the last 4 months lately, there are more than 16 children died because of cancer at that hospital. And the saddest news is there are 4 children died in 1 week of last week :(
Actually I've long been become a volunteer since 5 months ago, but since 4 weeks lately I starting intensive there. And within this 4 weeks I have canceled 2 design projects from my clients because I want to prepare my second social project (non-profit) to fundraising donations to improve the playroom on the ward to be much good, because currently many toys and dolls are damaged :(
And start in this month, I will set aside 50% or more of my money from my design project to help them. For now, there is one child that I want to help, a child named Hanif, he was 9 months ages and suffering Leukemia (blood cancer). He's from a poor family, his father worked as a laborer (blue collar worker) earning about $ 100 per month. Last news I heard, his parents run out of funds to continue the treatment in the hospital.
